An Electric Bike should be easier to pedal than a regular bike! If your bike is hard to pedal, you want to make sure it is powered on, and in the correct PAS, or Pedal Assistance level using the + and - buttons on the left hand side of the handlebar. Also, the gearing on the right hand side needs to be set correctly. While riding, rotate the shifter away from you while pedaling for NuVinci Equipped models, or for bikes with regular gears - twist the shifter until you are in gears 1, 2, or 3 to get started.
