Disc Brake Pads generally last 100’s of miles, but in certain conditions they may need to be replaced sooner. If you have Mechanical Disc Brakes, make sure the cable has been tightened properly.

For Hydraulic Disc Brakes, if the brakes feel soft or spongy, we recommend “flicking” the brake lever to try to knock loose any air that may have been trapped in the system, and pump the lever a few times to see if the brake lever firms up a bit.
