The Harmony automatic shifter may not be as strong as a standard mechanical shifter, so you may want to alter your riding style if you find you are getting “stuck” in the wrong gear.
Before a steep hill, you may want to switch to ORANGE mode and rotate the shifter AWAY from you. This will put you in lower gear before you start to ride up the hill.
If you prefer to stay in the BLUE mode (automatic) - we recommend keeping it set at around halfway full of blue, and pedal a bit easier at the beginning of a hill, which will allow the system to shift smoothly. Remember to use Pedal Assist level 5 when climbing steep hills.
