Please check that the battery tray and dock is intact. When you take the battery off the bike and look in the frame, do you see any damage to the tray? Is the battery dock/terminals attached and healthy at the end? It should look like the photo below. If you gently push the dock with a long stick or something similar, it shouldn't move.
